You have to buy more Teflon tape , So it will not leak. It does bolt right in. You need to buy a 2' of the thicker hose to feed pump. Just use the old clamps. And a reducer and 3\" of the old hose and your done.... it was a great Buy

Right now, it works fine. Plenty of pressure, and plenty of volume. The question is: How long will it be until the aluminum wears out? Cast iron would virtually guarantee reasonable life, but I am not so sure about aluminum. Of course, aluminum is easier to cheaper to produce, but is it suitable? ...Time will tell.

A superb small hydraulic pump for a wood splitter
